Jewel Toned

During this holiday season, you CAN NOT go wrong with a jewel toned smokey eye for any evening out this winter. I've found some AMAZING looks that you get ideas from.

First look,  Ruby. There is no place like home? Yes, that still rings true but you won't want to stay home with a gorgeous ruby shadow.
Ruby reds go AMAZING with golds, remember though, you're focusing on a smokey eye. A nice black or charcoal grey would be a great crease / outer "V" color, ruby on the inner lid and a nice bold gold blending from the inner eye.

This look is for those who aren't a fan of the bold. Stick with a warm brown gold but really play up the shimmer in the inner eye and only line on the top lash. Just like in the photo above, bring the gold under the eye. This really helps the eye pop and make the look bolder.

Emerald. Because you don't want to go around looking like a Christmas spirit, please make sure that you don't just use a straight green shadow. Add a light color on the inner corner, either a brighter green or a nice gold. You also want to define the crease so just like with the ruby use a nice black that you can easily blend the green into.
Perfect example of the gold, green, black

Sapphire and Teal are really hot this season! I am going to include these together because, while they are great by themselves, they compliment each other so well.

If you are paring a dark blue with black, make sure that you don't over blend because you want to make sure that the blue stands out and that you don't lose the color. The black can easily overpower and the blue can get lost really quickly. An important element is the accent color on the inner eye. a nice Champagne color works really well.

Amethyst is a super fun color that is bold, bright and exciting.

Champagne works really well with this purple as well as a nice silver or gold. Also, try a bold cat-eye, the black will show up nicely against the purple.

Last but not least, this gorgeous Black Onyx. Not only can you pair it with any of the colors above but you can ALWAYS do a nice smokey look using a lot of black and a touch of color.

The color when doing these looks should be focused on the outer rim using a blending brush. You just want a hint and not a ring so start from the outside of the black (on the edge) and work your way into the lid.

These are some of my favorite shadows found here

Remember, You are YOUnique - xx
